The replacement UV lamp 40 W BL is designed for UV sterilisers used in pool water treatment. The type with an orange end and raised pin is specific to certain UV unit models – verify compatibility with your steriliser before ordering.
The lamp’s UV-C radiation destroys the DNA of microorganisms, thereby eliminating algae, bacteria and viruses without adding further chemicals to the pool water. Regular replacement of the lamp (usually once a year) ensures the full disinfection efficiency of the system.
The 40 W power is suitable for medium-sized pools or as a supplement to chemical disinfection. When replacing, we recommend using protective gloves and avoiding looking directly into the lit lamp.
