The Short Reducer adhesive/female thread d40–1/2 made of PVC-U connects a d40 pipe network with small threaded elements fitted with a 1/2″ male thread. The combination of a larger solvent-weld socket (d40) with a small thread (1/2″) allows, for example, pressure sensors or dosing injectors to be connected to the main suction or discharge pipe.
The PVC-U material is certified for contact with chlorinated pool water and chemical additives. The smooth d40 solvent-weld socket is joined with standard PVC adhesive; the thread is sealed with the usual materials.
The fitting is suitable for plant rooms of pools and hot tubs where it is necessary to branch off from the main pipework to small instruments or fittings.
