The suction plate is the lower distribution element of the Bazuka TOP 400 filter vessel. Its primary function is the even discharge of filtered water across the entire cross-section of the filter media, thereby preventing the formation of preferential flow channels.
A damaged or deformed suction plate causes uneven filtration and the penetration of contamination into the filtered water. Replacing it with an original spare part restores the correct function of the filtration.
Installation is carried out after emptying the filter vessel, when the suction plate is fitted onto the lower connection and secured according to the manufacturer’s instructions. When replacing, we recommend also checking and rinsing the filter media.
