The diffuser O-ring is a small but critically important part of the hydraulic section of the 08003 counter-current pump. A proper seal prevents internal water bypass within the pump and guarantees full counter-current pressure and flow.
The O-ring is made of a rubber compound resistant to pool chemistry, UV radiation and temperature fluctuations. A worn or deformed seal causes a reduction in counter-current performance and water dripping in the diffuser area.
Replacing the seal is a quick and economical task that requires no special tools. We recommend carrying out the replacement each time the diffuser is removed or when a drop in the performance of the 08003 counter-current pump is detected.
