Manifold of the QS 400 filter vessel

The manifold of the QS 400 filter vessel is an internal distribution element located in the lower part of the vessel. Its task is the even distribution of incoming water across the cross-section of the vessel and the collection of filtered water to the return pipe.

A damaged manifold causes uneven filtration – the water seeks preferential paths through the media and impurities or even filter media (sand) are let back into the pool. The symptoms are cloudy water or the presence of sand in the pool.

The original manifold for the QS 400 vessel is precisely dimensioned for the diameter of the vessel and ensures an even hydraulic load on the media. Replacing the manifold is necessary in case of its mechanical damage or the breaking of the arms.
