Dimensions and flanged joints Flanged joints are the widest group: PVC flanges in dimensions 63 to 315 mm, stub flanges 50 to 315 mm, flange gaskets 63 to 315 mm, and M16 and M20 bolts in lengths of 90 to 140 mm with nuts and washers. A flange coupling for dimensions 90 to 200 mm gives you a detachable connection where you expect to dismantle the technology later. Pipe sight glasses come in dimensions 63 to 225 mm and in a flanged version 75 to 160 mm; they let you check the flow without opening up the pipework. Threaded joints can be sealed with PTFE tape 12 or 19 mm wide, Flon 100 sealing thread (175 m) or Tangit Uni-Lock (80 m), or Griffon Kolmat 14 mm tape. For flexible joints and bonding outside the pipework, there are Poly Max assembly adhesives and sealants in 280–290 ml and 380–435 g packs and Dragonpool adhesive based on MS polymer. EPDM O-rings and toric seals serve as spare parts for flexible fittings, pumps and filter tanks; silicone grease prolongs the life of every O-ring and shut-off valve.
