Solvent Weld

Over 360 PVC-U solvent-weld fittings and parts for pool pipework – 45° and 90° elbows and bends, tees, Y-pieces, reducers, sockets, three-part unions and plugs. Sizes range from d16 to d400, with pressure class PN16 predominating and part of the range in PN10. Alongside universal fittings there are also specific connection sets for equipment: unions for Emaux TOP filter units, connections for Mr.Silence and Pioneer heat pumps, reducers for Badu 21-81 and Waterway, adaptors for InverPro and Mr.Master pumps, and parts for Elecro and Blue Lagoon UV lamps. In-stock items ship within 48 hours, and we deliver across the EU. How to choose Solvent-weld PVC-U is sized by the outer diameter of the pipe, so a d63 fitting fits a 63 mm pipe. Pool pipework most often uses d50 and d63, larger pools and public facilities d90 to d160; short reducers also cover transitions d400/355 and d400/250. 90° elbows and bends range from d16 to d160, while 45° versions are useful where you want to split a change of direction into two gentler steps. 45° Y-pieces run from d20 to d110 and are used for branches that should remain free-flowing. A separate group is the three-part solvent-weld/solvent-weld unions (for example d90) – choose them wherever you will need to take the joint apart at some point. What to watch out for A solvent-weld joint cannot be taken apart, so first assemble the whole set dry. Surfaces are degreased with a PVC-U cleaner, cement is applied to both the pipe and the socket, and the joint is left to cure according to the cement manufacturer's instructions – only then pressurise the circuit. The transparent PVC Glas pipe d63 × 3.0 mm is rated PN10, so do not combine it where you expect PN16 pressure. Also beware of parts marked "US": they have a different size series (the short reducer US 63-60 has an inner d60 and an outer d63) and cannot be swapped for a standard metric fitting. How it differs from neighbouring categories This is where the joints that are glued belong. You will find detachable and threaded connections in the Threaded category, large profiles in Flanged Connections, and closing off the circuit is handled by Shutoff Valves. The pipes for these fittings are in the PVC Pipe category. Who the category is for For pool builders and plumbers who build or rebuild the equipment circuit, and for pool owners who modify the pipework. The shop is run by IDOL SPAS s.r.o., a Czech hot tub manufacturer with its own service team – if you are unsure about the size or pressure class, we will advise you from experience. For service companies and resellers we offer a wholesale programme with individual prices.
