Skimmers and jets differ fundamentally according to pool construction: for prefabricated (shell) pools, parts made to fit the given opening are used, whereas for liner and above-ground pools the connection is made with a hose barb and a liner connection (e.g. a return jet with a d32/38 hose barb). What to watch out for Before ordering, check the pool construction (prefabricated vs. liner/above-ground) and the connection size – e.g. the hose barb diameter or the type of flange and seal, commonly EPDM – parts are not interchangeable between construction types.
