Hose Tails

Hose tails for connecting a hose to pipework, a skimmer, filter or pump – tails in sizes from 12 to 50 mm with an inch thread or a solvent-weld socket, in PVC, ABS and polyamide, including a transparent tail and a 90° angled tail. In-stock items ship within 48 hours, and we deliver across the EU. How to read the markings The first number is the diameter of the hose you push onto the tail, the second is the connection on the other side. A 38 × 1 1/2″ tail therefore has a 38 mm hose end and a 1 1/2″ thread; a 50 × 50 mm tail has a hose end and a solvent-weld socket for a 50 mm fitting. The stepped 32/38 tail takes both 32 and 38 mm hoses – the two most common vacuum hose diameters. Where hose tails are used Most often when connecting a vacuum hose to a skimmer or suction port, when connecting an above-ground pool to its filtration, and with smaller filters and pumps that have a threaded port. What to watch out for Secure the hose on the tail with a hose clip, otherwise suction or water pressure will pull it off. Choose the tail according to the actual inside diameter of the hose – a loosely fitted hose draws in air and the pump loses performance. You will find hoses in the category Hoses & Pipes. Who the category is for For pool and hot tub owners connecting a vacuum, filtration or pump, and for installation companies. The shop is run by IDOL SPAS s.r.o., a Czech hot tub manufacturer with its own service team. We offer service companies and resellers our wholesale programme with individual prices.
