Also measure the pipe connections, most commonly 1.5″×1.5″ or 2″×2″. Don't replace a two-speed pump with a single-speed one: the control system relies on the low speed for filtration and heating, and without it will report a flow error. Likewise, a circulation pump (e.g. Circ-Master) can't substitute for a massage pump — it runs continuously and is built for a low flow rate. When repair is enough instead of replacement If the pump drips between the motor and the wet end, the mechanical seal has failed — a shaft seal kit for under a few hundred crowns fixes it. Noisy bearings or a cracked housing call for a wet-end replacement, with the motor staying in place. Only buy a complete pump once the motor itself is faulty.
