First, face diameter — measured across the entire visible part of the jet including the rim, stated in inches (2″ ≈ 51 mm, 3″ ≈ 76 mm, 5″ ≈ 127 mm). Second, insert type: a directional jet holds a fixed stream, a rotational jet spins it, and a diffuser jet spreads it into a wider spray. Third, the mounting method into the body — depending on the manufacturer, the insert either bayonet-clicks in or screws in, so go by brand and series (Wellis V1 and V2 differ, Superior inserts only fit Superior bodies). What to watch out for Most jets in our catalogue are replacement inserts only — the body built into the shell is not included, and we state this explicitly on each listing. If a jet leaks around the flange, you don't need a new insert but a gasket or flange. And if all the jets in every seat lose power at once, the cause is usually a clogged filter or a weakening massage pump, not the jets themselves. Air bubbles losing strength point to the blowers and compressors. For whom Anyone can swap a jet insert without tools — the old insert twists or clicks out, and the new one clicks back in. Replacing the jet body means working into the shell and we recommend leaving that to a service technician.
