The SMG 750/900 collector hub body is the central plastic load-bearing element of the collector system inside an SMG 750 or SMG 900 filter tank. It connects all collector laterals into a single unit and functions as the central outlet pipe returning filtered water back to the pool.
A properly working, undamaged collector hub prevents the sand media from passing into the pool, maintains even pressure conditions inside the tank and maximizes the efficiency of the entire filtration process. A cracked or deformed body should be replaced immediately.
The part is made of durable plastic compatible with all common pool chemicals and is dimensionally matched precisely to the SMG 750 and 900 tanks. When replacing it, we recommend checking and, if necessary, replacing all collector laterals at the same time.
