Private pools are usually plumbed in d50 or d63; large diameters above d110 are intended for public pools and main collector pipes. For longer runs, a 5 m length works out cheaper than buying by the metre. What to watch out for Rigid pipe in the ground should be laid in a sand bed and protected from frost – freezing water will split it.
