Filter cross of the QS 500 filter vessel

The filter cross is a distribution element of the internal hydraulics of the QS 500 filter vessel with a diameter of 500 mm. The cross with its arms evenly supplies water into the media and collects the filtered water, thereby eliminating short-circuit flows through the media.

A cracked or broken arm of the cross causes uneven flow and lower filtration efficiency. More serious damage can lead to the penetration of the filter media – sand or glass granules – back into the pool.

The original cross is precisely designed for the diameter of the QS 500 vessel and compatible with its distribution system. Replacement is necessary immediately after damage is detected; postponing the repair damages the pump and reduces water quality.
