Most of the range consists of Vágner Pool fittings, including Vagner butterfly valves in diameters of 63 to 315 mm, in flanged, wafer (flangeless) and electrically actuated versions. How to find the right part Choose by a pair of dimensions: the outer diameter of the pipe (d) and the connection thread. Threaded insert reducers cover pairs from 20 × 3/8" to 110 × 3", and plain reducers without thread cover transitions from 90 × 75 mm to 315 × 250 mm. Unions are available in a solvent-weld range from 20 to 110 mm, also with an external thread from 20 × 1/2" to 75 × 2 1/2", and for selected dimensions (32, 50 and 63 mm) also with a brass or stainless steel threaded part and in an O-ring version. 90° tees have a solvent-weld run of 20 to 63 mm and an internal thread of 1/2" to 2" on the branch, and 45° and 60° Y-pieces are in the range d16 to d50. Hose tails are divided into threaded (12 × 3/8" to 50 × 1 1/2") and pipe-to-hose sizes (16 × 16 mm to 50 × 50 mm). What to watch out for PVC pipe diameters are given as the outer dimension, whereas inch threads are based on the inner bore – d50 therefore normally connects to 1 1/2", not 2". Materials also differ: most fittings are PVC-U, the 12 × 3/8" tail is polyamide and the 32/38 × 1 1/2" tail is ABS, which changes temperature and chemical resistance. A metal thread must never be overtightened in a plastic part, otherwise the socket will crack – seal with PTFE tape and tighten gently. With butterfly valves, check in advance whether you need the flanged version or the wafer version without flanges. How it differs from solvent-weld fittings A large part of the parts here handle the transition between solvent-welded pipework and the threaded connection of the technology – pumps, filtration or heating.
