Other Fittings

Other Fittings offers more than 170 pressure parts made of rigid PVC-U for pool piping – elbows, angles and bends of 45° and 90°, plugs, crosses, double nipples, adaptors, tapping saddles and Vagner butterfly valves. These are parts that do not fall into the narrowly focused subcategories, yet you commonly need them when building or refurbishing a plant room. In-stock items ship within 48 hours, and we deliver across the EU. How it differs from the PVC Fittings category The parent category PVC Fittings covers the whole range and is divided by the function of the joint: sockets and couplings for joining two pipes of the same dimension, Reducers for changing the diameter, unions for a detachable joint, T-pieces and Y-pieces for branches and hose tails for the transition to a hose. Other Fittings are the remaining group – directional parts, shut-off and tapping elements and transitions between glued and threaded joints. So if you are looking for a coupling, a reducer or a detachable union, go to the relevant subcategory; everything else is here. Types and dimensions 90° angles and elbows cover glued diameters of 20 to 315 mm, in smaller dimensions also with an internal thread (from 20 mm × 1/2″ to 110 mm × 4″), and 90° bends come in dimensions of 50 to 90 mm. 45° angles also run from 20 to 315 mm, including int./ext. combinations and versions with a 1 1/2″ and 2″ thread. Plugs are in stock as glued 20–315 mm and threaded 3/8″ to 3″ in both int. and ext. variants. Crosses for glued joints come in dimensions of 25, 32, 40, 50 and 63 mm. Tapping saddles allow a branch from pipes of 50, 63, 75, 140, 225 and 315 mm with an internal thread of 1/2″ to 3″. Adaptors handle the transition from a glued socket to an external thread from 20–16 × 3/8″ to 125–110 × 4″, and the PUK 50 series offers outlets from 1/4″ to 1″, Pg9 and M10. Vagner butterfly valves come in diameters of 63 to 315 mm with and without flanges, and in 90, 110 and 125 mm also with an electric actuator; a wider range of valves can be found under Shutoff Valves. What to watch out for All parts are made of rigid PVC-U and are joined either by gluing into the socket or mechanically via a thread. Before gluing, clean and degrease both the socket and the pipe end and use a pressure adhesive intended for PVC-U; seal threaded joints with PTFE tape or thread and never overtighten them, because the plastic cracks. For large dimensions from 200 mm up, give the joint longer to cure before putting the pipework under pressure. Also check whether you need an internal (int.) or external (ext.) thread – for plugs and adaptors it is the most common reason for returns. Matching pipes and hoses are listed in the category Hoses & Pipes. Who this category is for The category is for pool builders and installation companies building or refurbishing a plant room, and for pool owners who need to buy one specific piece when repairing pipework. Thanks to dimensions up to 315 mm it also suits public facilities. The shop is run by IDOL SPAS s.r.o., a Czech hot tub manufacturer with its own service team – if you are unsure about your choice, we will advise you from practical experience. For service companies and resellers we offer a wholesale programme with individual pricing.
