Filter Tanks & Units

Sand filtration removes mechanical debris from pool water and is the foundation of every pool system — without working filtration, even the best chemistry won't help. This category carries over 600 items: standalone filter tanks, complete sets with pump, six-way valves, filter media and spare parts. What you'll find Filter tanks — plastic tanks Granada, Vienna II, San Sebastian or MFS for family pools; laminate filters Nilo Eco, Barent (Ursa Minor II), Artic, Triton Neo ClearPro and deep-bed Hayward HCF FB tanks up to 3,000 mm diameter for demanding and public installations. Filter KITs (tank + pump) — matched sets such as QS 400 DE14 or QS 600 DE22, optionally with a Besgo automatic valve or Mr.Wash backwash. The simplest choice when building new pool technology. Filter media — certified silica sand 0.7–1.25 mm to EN 12904, AFM activated glass Grade 1 and 2, ZeoPure zeolite, and Fiberbrite filter balls (700 g replaces 25 kg of sand). Filter tank spare parts — clear lids, gaskets, nuts, pressure gauges and Praher SM 2″ six-way valves. How to choose the right filtration size Tank diameter and filtration speed are decisive. For family pools, plan for a speed up to 50 m/h: a 500 mm diameter tank handles roughly 9 m³/h, 600 mm about 14 m³/h. Pool pump flow rate must match the tank size — a stronger pump won't improve filtration, it will instead push debris back through the sand bed into the pool. For public facilities, design for a speed up to 30 m/h with a deeper filter bed (1.0–1.2 m). What to watch out for Check the valve connection type (TOP on the lid vs. SIDE), pipe diameter and the media grade specified by the tank manufacturer. Replace sand every 2–3 seasons; AFM glass lasts considerably longer and reduces biofilm formation. Always drain the tank before winterising — frost will crack even laminate. This category serves pool owners renewing their equipment, installation companies and public pool operators alike. In-stock items ship within 48 hours, orders over the free-shipping threshold ship free, and we deliver across the EU.
